Construction, engineering and design
The train consists of an aluminum frame with a front portion of GRP. Typical of this train is the large windscreen. The trains were delivered as two-DMU with mechanical transmission. The train has a low floor section. These trains have Scharfenberg couplings and can be combined into three pieces in train driving circuit. They are equipped with air suspension.
The trains have a computer-controlled air brake of Mannesmann Rexroth, with automatic lastafregeling (braking power is adapted to load). As a fallback option for the computer control is also a remkraan present, set to the fast-acting position P. Both air brake systems use the disc brakes on axle. Furthermore, there is still a hydrodynamic brake, and a magnetic brake provided.
Following the new concession Twente in 2013 Syntus all proposals for a revamped, with Alstom in Stendal.
