
Origin of the ICK
Because of the physical shortage that was created in the year 2000, the NS 150 carriages of the type Bm235 bought from Deutsche Bahn. These carriages are at Partner für Fahrzeug Facilities (PFA) converted in Weiden and adapted to the needs of the NS as the 'central door-locking system. The 150-Bm235 carriages emerged 96 B, 36 A and 18 BD-carriages. When the conversion for this car series so distinctive layout remained a side corridor and only retain sections, although it was still the partition between two sections removed in 1st class. In the big coupe were then placed nine seats, the legroom in the 1st class ICK is very spacious. The BD-carriage were a luggage room, a great room and a disabled toilet for the disabled built. Equipment Shortage

Each tribe has its own number. There are three types of logs:
• Loose B (second class coach) numbered in the 5000 series
• BD (B +) (or two times a second class, which always with a disabled toilet) numbered in the 5300 series
• B + A + B (second class, first and second class) numbered in the 5400 series
The basic number is applied to the adjusting bar next to the carriage number.
